Elegant and comfortable accommodation. Martin is a genial and considerate host. We traveled to Edinburgh ( via Scot Rail) and to St Abb’s Head while staying here and enjoyed our stay. Thoroughly recommended!
We loved staying at Broomfields. The house is beautiful, comfortable and relaxing, but above all Martin is a wonderful host. I don't think I've ever been anywhere so friendly; we really felt welcomed and taken care of. This was a really enjoyable, sociable stay that we'll long remember. Above and beyond our expectations.
What a brilliant little guest house this is. Greeted by lorna and Martin upon arrival who were warm and welcoming. From the outset these guys make you feel right at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. The place is immaculately clean and tidy and the garden is impressive with beautiful views over the fields. We had breakfast in the morning and it was as expected plentiful and delicious . What makes this place is the people and these guys really do know how to go above and beyond and leave a lasting impression on you.... Would highly recommend
From the first moment we arrived it was clear that this is Martin's passion. He was super enthusiastic and welcoming to our film crew. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with our late finish and early start. Broomfields is a delightful property in a stunning location... the coffee is incredible and the mattresses were the most comfortable we have experienced and we stay in a lot of hotels! I'll be back with partner next time I am in the Borders. Great work!
We've stayed only one night, but it was one of the best stays during our Scotland trip! Incredibly friendly hosts, a very cosy and comfy bed/room and the best breakfast you could ask for! Plus, it's only a 10min. walk away from "Scott's View", so it's surrounded by a very beautiful countryside :) We will be back ;)
Very nice quiet place, Martin and Lorna are great hosts and the healthy breakfast is wonderful, the room light and airy and the bed was very comfortable. The en suite decor lovely.

I absolutely loved this place. The hosts are really kind. They usually start breakfast at 8:30am on weekends but we requested for a breakfast at 7am and they did it. The breakfast was above and beyond. They gave us some fresh fruits and smoothie , home made crossaints, a really tasty porridge and more. Next, I've never seen cleaner rooms and the area was amazing and peacful. It was our short visit and we would definitely bring our children to stay at this fabulous place with such nice host for few nights. Broomfield country house definitely beats 5 star hotels
